"Outside of my children, my greatest accomplishment has been making a difference in the lives of students. I have worked with students from kindergarten to college and that's a lot of students!" said Elmyra Grelle who works as the program manager for the ECE Graduate Program.

Elmyra taught in public and private schools for 12 years and joined ECE in 2006. "I love working with the graduate students because of their desire to pursue an advanced degree, their enthusiasm about their research and their multi-national backgrounds. The ECE department is composed of a very diverse student population. This certainly has broadened my horizons."

Elmyra was born and raised in Albuquerque. "I'm a two time New Mexico State alumni, carrying on a long family tradition of attending NMSU."

As the Graduate Program Coordinator, Elmyra maintains all graduate student records, advises and assists students with the graduate program at UNM and in the ECE department and processes graduate student contracts.

She also manages the application process for incoming students and the degree process for active students.
