Prof. Calhoun Keynotes Medical Systems Symposium

Selected as the keynote speaker for the Aug. 4 session of the two-day 22nd IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (CBMS), ECE Professor Vince Calhoun offered his unique perspective on CBMS's main topic, computational biomedicine.
CBMS 2009 served as an international forum for discussion of the latest research in this exciting niche area. The symposium consisted of regular and special track oral presentation sessions of peer reviewed articles as well as invited talks given by leading scholars and scientists.
The symposium was co-sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society (Technical Committee on Computational Medicine) and the Texas Tech University Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering, and it was held in cooperation with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and ACM /SIGAPP.

IEEE CBMS 2009 was held on the premises of MCM Elegante Hotel in Albuquerque on Aug. 3 and 4, 2009.
