ECE Helps UNM Celebrate Albuquerque Tricentennial

UNM invited the general public to its Albuquerque Tricentennial open house on Sept. 23, and ECE boosted the effort with crowd-pleasing demos that appealed to visitors of all ages. APS teachers came by ECE's exhibit to gather information or to let their students experience the electromagnetic can crusher, Van de Graaff generator, and a variety of robots from the IDMARS lab. Older students talked with ECE's Roberta Menicucci and SOE's other academic advisors or just picked up printed information about ECE's programs and faculty.

And several ECE students were available all day to talk with interested students and members of the public who were on campus to learn a little more about UNM.

At least two or three hundred people streamed through ECE's exhibit area, and most of them were interested enough to stay five minutes or longer.

Congratulations to all of the individuals who helped make ECE's exhibit an informative and interesting success.
