Sudharman K.
Jayaweera was born in Matara, Sri Lanka. He received the B.E.
degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with First Class
Honors from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 1997 and
M.A. and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Princeton
University in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He is currently an
associate Professor in Electrical Engineering at the Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of New Mexico,
Albuquerque, NM. He a Senior Member of IEEE and an associate editor of
IEEE Transactions in Vehicular Technology and EURASIP
Journal of Advances in Signal Processing. His research interests
include statistical signal processing, wireless communications,
information theory, cognitive radios and smart-grid optimization
and control.
